How are the sculptures created?

Before any creating happens the hunt begins. Scouring charity shops, carboots, marketplace and pretty much anywhere I can get my hands on unwanted and unloved rusty old metal.

Back at my workspace, a design which has been floating in my head for who knows how long starts to become reality. The metals are cut, prepared and put into place, ready for welding.

Then, as my TIG welding machine begins to hum, the smell of burning metal fills the air, the sculpture begins to form.
